Our Benefits

We provide the opportunity for all colleagues to progress their career with us, through bespoke internal and external training courses, and offer a wide range of employee benefits. Additionally, we pay UK Real Living Wage to all of our colleagues.

This means that our starting rate for any qualified level 3 practitioner, working 20 or more hours per week, is at least £11.50 an hour.

We pay UK Real Living Wage to all of our colleagues. This means that our starting rate for any qualified level 3 practitioner is at least £11.50 an hour. Salaries are reviewed annually for all colleagues. 

Partnership Dividend

As employee-owners we all share an equal tax-free partnership dividend annually when the company performs well. This is paid pro-rata so that everyone is rewarded for their contribution with up to £3000 paid this year.

Winter Support Payment

All new colleagues on contracted hours who join us from November 2022 to April 2023 will receive a monthly winter support payment of up to £100 to help them during these difficult financial times. Final payment May 2023.

Free access to Perkbox and hundreds of discounts available via their website and/or app. Retailers include supermarkets, fashion, beauty, electrical, food and drink and days out.

Mental Health App

Your mental health is important and that is why we offer all of our colleagues free access to the Thrive Mental Wellbeing App.
We also have Mental Health First Aiders in all of our nurseries to help support you.

50% Childcare Discount

We offer all colleagues who choose to use our nurseries for their own child a 50% discount on fees. If you’re a grandparent you can receive a 20% discount for your grandchild if they use one of our nurseries.

Breakfast and Lunch

Our break rooms have food available for colleagues to enjoy when they arrive in the morning and when they take their lunch break. Food available will vary by nursery and may be hot and/or cold.

All colleagues start with at least 23 days annual leave which increases with length of service up to 28 days – 1 day extra per year for 5 years. Colleagues also have the option to buy or sell their holiday allowance.

Recommend a Friend

Our unlimited recommend a friend scheme rewards colleagues with £1000 for every friend who joins us. We love that they love working for us and want their friends to be a part of the company too.

Cycle to Work

The environment is something we care about deeply. Our cycle to work scheme allows you to purchase a bike, and safety equipment, at a reduced price and pay for it in instalments across the year.

Awards Event

Our annual awards event is one of the highlights of the year. Not only do we recognise our colleagues who go above and beyond but we also have surprise guests and an amazing experience.

When a nursery team achieves an Ofsted Outstanding inspection we have to celebrate how amazing they are. All colleagues are invited out for a celebratory dinner and given £100 each as a thank you.

Savings Club

If you’d like us to hold back some of your salary each month, to help you save for Christmas, then you can join our savings club which pays 3% interest on all money saved and is paid back to you in November.

Buy/Sell Holiday

All colleagues start with at least 23 days holiday but have the option to buy more if required, or sell some if it isn’t needed. Obviously you do have to take holiday within the year so rules do apply.

We Plant a Tree

Not necessarily a benefit to you, but it is a benefit to our planet which should make you feel good about it. We plant a tree for every colleague who joins the company to help support the Madagascan rainforest.

Salary Advance

We recognise in emergency situations that our colleagues may require an advance of their salary in order to help them financially.  Additionally, our hardship fund is available for colleagues who may need further support or find themselves in financial difficulties.

Employee Assistance

Our EAP service: Health Assured, provides a complete support network for you and your immediate family that offers expert advice via their helpline, and compassionate guidance 24/7 covering a wide range of issues. Health Assured also offers support for you and your immediate family members*, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

Gym Discounts

Working with MyGym via Perkbox our colleagues can access a variety of discounts for gym memberships and various exercise classes both in person and online.

Family Fun Day

Have a day out with a friend, partner or your family on us. We pay for colleagues to have tickets to one of a variety of locations each year. Venues have include zoos, theme parks and stately homes or gardens.

Occupational Health

This service is used to support employees within their role. This service is provided by Lincoln Health.

Private Medical

Employees with over 3 years’ service can join for free and those with less than 3 years’ service can pay a reduced/subsidised fee to become a member. This plan includes dental and optical cover (up to £190).

Will Writing

This may not be top of the list of benefits we look for but it’s nice to know it’s available when needed. We offer a free will writing service to all colleagues.

Long Service Payments
