At Childbase Partnership, our responsibility to the generations of children in our care goes far beyond the walls of our nurseries. As a leading provider of high-quality early years education, we are deeply committed to making a positive impact not only in the lives of the children and families we serve, but also within the wider communities around us.
Supporting the communities in which we operate is a core part of our culture and values. We believe that strong communities create better futures for children, which is why we actively engage in initiatives that promote social responsibility, environmental sustainability, and charitable giving. Our commitment is ongoing and far-reaching, with efforts aimed at meeting real needs wherever they are found.
Each year, through a company-wide vote, we select a national or local charity to champion. This allows our entire team – across all nurseries and support office – to unite behind a shared cause through focused fundraising events, awareness campaigns, and volunteer initiatives. In addition to this flagship charity partnership, we also provide grant aid, practical resources, and hands-on support to numerous community-driven projects throughout the year.
Whether it’s raising funds for children’s health, supporting local food banks, contributing to environmental causes, or participating in community clean-up days, our colleagues lead with compassion, purpose, and a genuine desire to make a difference.
Childbase Partnership is delighted to be supporting YoungMinds, the UK’s leading charity fighting for children and young people’s mental health.
Hundreds of thousands of young people are suffering with their mental health, but too many are being told to wait, struggling to cope and hitting a crisis point before they can get help. The number of open referrals to Children and Young People’s Mental Health Services is currently the highest on record with 496,897 referred to services in November 2023.
Our fundraising activity focuses on backing the charity’s ‘Never Alone’ campaign, which utilises digital support to ensure every young person can access help quickly and easily to improve their situation. This is in addition to providing people with the resources and skills to assist loved ones facing a mental health emergency.
YoungMinds was founded in 1993 by medical professionals and teachers as a response to the growing need from parents and families for support with their children’s mental health. In recent years, YoungMinds have dramatically expanded their services to meet the sharp increase of need seen during the pandemic.
